WHAT HAPPENED?
This happened.
SMC cancelled a deal to buy into Holcim Philippines. That news is a MATERIAL INFORMATION that requires a trading halt.
PSE HALTED TRADING OF HOLCIM AND SMC FOR ONE HOUR
WAS PSE RIGHT IN HALTING IT FOR AN HOUR?
We will answer that later but for now lets take a look at what took place that day.
DISCLOSURES
In order for PSE to impose any halt or suspension there must be a disclosure. Kaya nga nagkaroon ng Disclosure Rules. Let us take a look at what SMC and HLCm had disclosed.
SMC DISCLOSURE: MATERIAL INFORMATION
That is a proper disclosure that warrants a halt. I will show you the disclosure rules later for your guidance.
HLCM DISCLOSURE: AMENDMENT

WHAT DID SMC DISCLOSED MAY 10 2019?
BOTH HAD A DISCLOSURE MAY 10, 2019
Both should also have either new MATERIAL INFORMATION or AMENDMENT OF THEIR MAY 10 DISCLOSURES.

As of 12 May 2020 1155H, down parin ang HLCM by 10.29% from -23% yesterday. Ano kaya ang mangyari sa stocks ng ABS kung hindi sinuspende until now….kaya SELLING din, hindi CEILING! Makabili sana tayo ng bargain bago mag-lift ang suspension!
