How Traders Lounge Changed my Trading Journey

“Before Traders Lounge, I was so addicted with the stock market for two reasons: Studying the market keeps my brain working and retiring early by the age of 35 sounds very promising (Payaman ‘to, PAWER!). When I learned about the stock market,for the first time, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! I was a long term investor turned to a trader-wannabe (up until now) with a lot of dreamy ideas about getting rich through the stock market. I used to daydream about buying my dream car after 5 years in investing and gaining six digits in trading once I become profitable. Yes, I wasn’t profitable but I was aspiring. I joined an online group and used to wait every day for the “ultimate whisper” (BULONG) of the guru from his insider. Hearsays, gossips and news thru Investagrams were my main indicators to buy. Oh yes! I had ridden one stock which was recommended by a guru (turned scammenarian) after he glady shared the BULONG. That was my only shining moment and everything became gloomy after. I can vividly remember when that stock flew to the moon and I was frozen looking in front of my laptop, not blinking nor breathing with a rapidly beating heart hysterically questioning: WHEN SHOULD I SELL?! Until that stock, went back from the moon and crashed 6 feet underground. FOMO. 

 That same day, I smoked a pack of cigarette dun sa tindahan malapit samin. Yoko na sa Earth! 

I was an ordinary employee who spent her hours at work reading investopedia but still has questions after ( I hope my employer is not reading this). I felt helpless sometimes but I was determined because my future is at stake here. I was a very frugal person (until now) and a responsible partner. I was living a simple yet balanced life or so I thought… until the “ex” broke up with me because I was too busy with all the chart patterns,waiting for the “BULONG” and watching the market to the point that I only have 2-3 hours of sleep a day. The “ex” ditched me for someone else while I was left with my paper losses. 

For that reason, I lost interest in everything… for months. I gave up the stock market and my hard earned savings and gave it away to Ms. Market. I JUST DONT CARE ANYMORE. Siguro sa market psychology, nasa depression stage nako. 

Months passed by, losses piled up, I was starting to recover and moved on, my friend who is also an aspiring trader, told me about Traders Lounge. I’d just say “yes,” “okay sure,” but not really interested about it because at the back of my mind, I was hopeless. I had a -50% and -60% paperloss. 

But then, my friend kept on telling me about studying and there’s a FREE learning offered by Gandakoh thru Traders Lounge. I remembered the name because I used to read her long posts in Investagrams about indicators (read about Alligator) and the show your ledger long posts. PEACE MISS! Haha. So one day, I checked the blog. To my surprise, it was a revelation. BOOM! The GIFs got me. 

Right now, I’m still daydreaming but more grounded. I have more realistic goals. Instead of getting my dream car after 5 years, I’ll get a scooter instead. Haha! I still have questions whenever I read but I now have good answers from the other experienced members of Traders Lounge. I am still at loss in number but I can proudly say that my knowledge and discipline had increased 50% more. And knowledge and experiences are something that cannot be taken again from me by the market. No way, GAIN ko na ‘yun! Given that I am a kinesthetic learner, I am applying the strategies I learned from the group thru my virtual port. I am still an ordinary employee but now an avid reader of Gandakoh’s Personal Trading Blog. I am done with TA of Tabula Rasa and just scanning FA since I am familiar with some terms due to my course in college. I am still reading the weekly lessons, checking the website, reading the blogs repeatedly. I have completely trashed the BULONG indicator and became loyal with the strategies taught in TL. So far, my favorite is FISHBALL because of the market situation aside from the fact that it fits my personality given how impatient I am. I am still emotional sometimes but I learned not to trade if my time and my emotion will get in the way. SELF AWARENESS! I have compiled all my takeaways whenever I learn something new from my own experience. Manual screening is now easy peasy! I learned to cutloss in real life (my loss went -up to 80% and cut half and did a strategy that worked naman) I am still far from my goal to be profitable but I can now see the road to take is clearer. 

Being a member of Traders Lounge had given me so much hope that in every scammenarian, there is Gandakoh who teaches for free. FREE, hindi lang sa umpisa, forever. So kapag nagpabayad sya, hunting-in natin. Hahahaha! Seriously, finding Traders Lounge is like finding a refuge amidst the war. It helped me ready myself in the long run (and continue to help me), not just today, by teaching all the things a newbie should know from terms,strategies, indicators, beliefs and so on and so forth. It protected me from unnecessary noises (hypers and bashers), the admins are concerned and goal-driven as well as the mentor. It enabled me to develop a discipline by letting me experience the failures I need to get in order to bounce back. Traders Lounge won’t give you any ultimate “BULONG” but will always answer to your stock-market-related inquiries. It had also made me a better person by allowing me to help others by answering some newbie questions in return. Traders Lounge will not spoon feed you but will teach you to fish so you can be independent. “Ang tamad, talo.” It keeps my fire burning by challenging me thru the “MAMA STRATEGY CHALLENGE”. Ang galing lang kasi may measure of success ‘yung group. Hindi puro kwento lang na si ganito may 1k naging 1M in 4 hours. CHAROT. The group had set a standard that other group will find difficult to top up. TRADERS LOUNGE CREATED A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT THAT YOU, WE, ORDINARY, UNDERPRIVILEGED PEOPLE WHO CAN’T PAY THOUSANDS WORTH OF SEMINAR AND MENTORSHIP FEES ARE ALSO CAPABLE TO LEARN THE STOCK MARKET FOR FREE. Gandakoh slaps you with reality kaliwa kanan, dire-diretso and shatters all your dreamy ideas about the stock market but promises to tell you only the truth right in front of your face while singing with playing the guitar sometimes. Oh yeah! 

Kapag may nawala sayo, matuto kang bumangon. Kahit na ‘yung merkado, nagpapaalala saken ng ex ko, kasabay nung pinapaalala yung mga pangarap ko para sa sarili ko. KAYA LABAN LANG. Yes, I am talking to my port. LOL. I will always be grateful and continue to support Traders Lounge’s advocacy. Maraming salamat po!”
